St. Paul, Minn, June 19, 2009 -– To help launch its largest batch of new displays in its 29-year history, Skyline has completed a contest to pick their best new product by offering a free new display.
During April and May 2009, exhibitors were directed to an online contest page to choose their favorite new Skyline trade show display products. The “voter turnout” was huge, with 890 people judging the 6 new Skyline products.
The big winners? The Mirage Backlit Display, which received the most votes for the Best New Skyline Product, and Dan Graham of Spintek USA, Inc., who won a free display of his choice from among the 6 new Skyline products in the contest.
Here are the results of the judges’ voting, including some of the comments about the products they picked.
1st Place: Mirage® Backlit Display
Votes: 1st Place: 248; 2nd Place: 185, 3rd Place: 156.
Judges praised the visual impact of Mirage’s backlit graphics, and how clean it would look without visible light fixtures. Here are some of the comments from the judges:
• “Love the backlit display - it would really pop!”
• “I like the fact that the Mirage Backlit Display would leverage our existing booth, plus the LED lights would solve the problem of halogen lighting bans at the Las Vegas Convention Center.”
• “Mirage Backlit Display is definitely an eye-catcher.”
2nd Place: DesignView™ Presentation System
Votes: 1st Place: 210; 2nd Place: 147, 3rd Place: 107.
While it won the Buyer’s Choice Award at EXHIBITOR2009, DesignView came in a strong second place in our online contest. Judges wrote more comments praising DesignView than any other product. They admired its ability to rear-project a large moving video and to change graphics quickly at no cost. Several judges even said they had been looking for a trade show booth like this for years.
Here are some of the judges’ comments about DesignView:
• “The Design View Projection Backwall System is the hands-down winner. Video attracts attendees, is flexible to suit your audience and can communicate your message so much better.”
• “Due to the cost of producing graphics, any method such as the Projection Backwall which allows total customization per show with no additional graphics costs is a home run!”
• “I love the projection system! This gives the eye-popping dimension that you rarely see when walking through the crowded 10x10 exhibits. I'm upset because we just invested in 5 old systems.”
3rd Place: Myriad™ Inline Banner Stand
Votes: 1st Place: 149; 2nd Place: 156, 3rd Place: 157.
The Myriad 10-foot Display came in third. However, the Myriad Banner Stand (shown on its own as a single banner stand) came in fifth. Combine their scores, and Myriad would have been in first place. Myriad impressed the judges with its versatility, design, portability, and merchandising capability.
Here is what the judges said about the Myriad Inline Display:
• “Myriad 10-foot Backwall is the winner for me because it provides for a full-sized booth at the same portability of 2 banner stands. Size is what exhibitors give up when they want portability so this solution solves the one big compromise that is often made.”
• “I really like the shelving integrated into the banner stand - reduces the need for additional counters, etc. at the show!”
• “Love the way the Myriad 10-foot backwall system provides a connected back wall display image and provides an easy way to swap out the side graphics to convey different messaging for specific show needs. Smart idea!”
