Mobile Version of Press Release 001 Now Live

The week beginning April 19, 2009 saw the publication of a mobile-friendly version of Press Release 001 at m.pressrelease001.com.

This satellite website will feature all press releases published on the frontpage of the parent body rather than mirroring all the contents.

On January 1, 2009 Press Release 001 become the first free press release distribution site to distribute its press releases via Twitter, while this latest development means it has again achieved a first amongst press distribution services; but this time for a mobile-friendly approach.

Site designer Andy Walpole said, "The last 12 months has seen a lot of activity on the mobile web front.

"After years of promise at last it is beginning to take hold amongst users and designers and developers.

"It is still early days yet for handheld browsing, but within a couple of years it will be essential for all serious sites to make sure they cater for mobile phones as well as desktop applications.
